The Best Time to Visit Mikumi National Park
Covering an area of 3320 km2, the
landscape of Mikumi is often compared to that of the Serengeti. The road that crosses the park divides it into two areas with
partially distinct environments. Mikumi National Park is in close proximity to Dar
es Salaam and offers animal viewing right from the beginning of the entrance.
It offers guaranteed sightings of animals thus a preferred safari stop for day
visitors than other parks in the south of the country side
Location:
Mikumi is located in
the mid of Uluguru and Lumbago mountain ranges joining the Selous Game Reserve
and Iringa to the north. It is only 5-6 hours away from the business city of
Dar es salaam
